5 Drone Schools will be established in Madhya Pradesh

Etihad Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that five schools dedicated to drone technology will be set up in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Satna.

Federal Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced on Saturday that a Center of Excellence for Drones will be set up at the Madhav Institute of Technology and Science (MITS), Gwalior.

In addition, schools dedicated to drone technology will be set up in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Satna, he said.

The Minister was speaking at the Mila Drone at MITS. Up to 20 companies participated in the event, which focused on the drone industry.

He said that drone technology will impact the economy and life across the world in the coming days, adding that Madhya Pradesh was the first to use this technology in the country.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that technology that heralds a change in people’s lives should be adopted. In line with this, drone technology is being promoted.”

Scindia added that the use of drones is revolutionizing the fields of defence, agriculture, health and many other areas, and will be instrumental in turning poverty into prosperity. This will also create job opportunities for 3,000 young people, the minister said.

The rules for using drones have been simplified, he said, adding that before the company had to fill out 25 forms, only five were now needed. He added that there was more clarity on the licensing and registration of drones.
