
The Assam government has announced that it will fill a total of 24,385 vacancies in the state’s Ministry of Education this year.
In the latest cabinet meeting led by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the state will launch a “major” recruitment drive in the Ministry of Education which will include appointments in Bodo, Garo, Hindi medium, etc.
According to labor data from the Assam government, there are a total of 22,921 jobs, 10,000 jobs in primary education, and 12,921 in secondary education, which is yet to be filled.
In addition, Special Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) will be conducted to fill 1,464 positions reserved for ST (Hills) and also for employment in Bodo, Garo, and Manipuri medium institutions under the Assam Department of Education.
The Cabinet also asked the Education Ministry to begin a process to fill 22,921 sanctioned positions as of September 1.
