IIT-Bombay allows Afghan students to return to campus

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Mumbai has allowed Afghan students to return to their campus. The institute has asked students to return and continue their studies amid the current crisis in Afghanistan.

Many students enrolled at IIT Bombay were asking the institute to approve their return. We have offered to accept quite a less students from Afghanistan into this year’s master’s program with scholarships from the ICCR. Due to the online instructions, they were participating in the class from home.

However, due to the rapidly worsening conditions in their home country, they wanted to leave their country and join the hostels on campus, the director of IIT Bombay said in a Facebook post.
