The IIT-Delhi Board of Governors today approved the commencement of the “Bachelor of Design (B.Des)” from the 2022-23 session. The program will be offered by the Institute’s Design Department, which appeared in 2017. The four-year program will initially have 20 seats and will be open to students of all disciplines (science, arts, commerce, etc.).
Students will be accepted into the B Design program based on the Common Undergraduate Entrance Exam for Design Ranks. Registration for the UCEED exam has started (www.uceed.iitb.ac.in/2022/).
Professor V Ramgopal Rao, Director of IIT Delhi, said: “We are delighted to start this new Bachelor of Design program as it is the first time that IIT Delhi has accepted Bachelor (B.Des) students other than Physics, Chemistry and Math.
