This year NTA JEE has made many changes in the preliminary application and overall selection process. The exam will be conducted in two sessions.

JEE Mains 2022 session 1 is scheduled for April 16-21 and session 2 24-29 May.

Here are 10 things that make JEE Main 2022 different from last year:


1- The exam will be held in April and May instead of four sessions. During recording, session 1   (April) appears only in the first session, and session 2 (May) appears when the window is   reopened shortly before testing. The official statement said that this facility will not be   provided   under any circumstances.

2- Section A (MCQs) and Section B (Numerical Value Questions) both will carry negative marks.   Section B will have additional questions and last year there were no negative marks for this   section.

3- While registering for JEE Main, the applicant needs to enter the OTP received on their   registered mobile number and the OTP received on their registered email address before   submitting the application fee.

4- The selected cities will be selected on the basis of permanent and existing address entered   during registration.

5- The essential part of JEE Main 2022, if any, is the annual income of the family, the total annual   income of the father or parents, the total annual income of the mother and the annual income of   the parents from other sources. application.

6- A copy of the confirmation page and final score card will be sent to the applicant’s registered   email address on completion of JEE Preliminary registration process.

7- Applicants can install the SANDES app on their smartphones and use it as a secondary   channel for receiving notifications from NTA.

8- The application process has been improved so that applicants can fill the form in smaller         sections. The renewal process consists of three stages: Step 1 – Registration Form, Level 2 –   Application Form (Filling Personal Details, Apply in Selected Cities, Eligibility Details, Uploading   Additional Details and Documents) and Step 3 – Payment. “Provision has been made for real-   time cross-verification of photographs while filling up the online application,” it added.

9- JEE MAIN 2022 “A column/field has been added to obtain the reference number of the   candidates in the online application, which will be on alternate basis,” the official statement said.   It further said that applicants can download documents like confirmation page, admit card and   score card using additional sites like UMANG and Digilocker.
