What is JoSAA?
The Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) has established the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) to manage and regulate the joint allocation of places for admission to more than 100 institutes, including IIT, NIT, IIIT and other government-funded technical institutes (other-GFTIs). Admission to all these institutes will be done through a single platform. The idea behind offering a unique consulting platform was to reduce thousands of vacancies in engineering colleges across the country. The common seat assignment process has been introduced to make the entire admissions process much smoother, efficient, efficient, transparent and much faster.
Renowned institutes like Punjab College of Engineering, Chandigarh; Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi; And the International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar, are also going through the admission process through JoSAA advice.
Eligible candidates for JEE Main or JEE Advanced need to register in JoSAA 2021 to participate in the counseling and admission process of various renowned engineering institutes across India. The admissions process for admission to 23 IIT, 31 NIT, 25 IIIT and 28 Other Government-funded Polytechnics (Others-GFTI) is administered by the Joint Position Allocating Authority (JoSAA). Seats will be allotted to candidates in seven JoSAA advisory rounds 2021. Seating through the JoSAA will depend on the merit of the candidates and their preference for the courses and colleges.
All eligible candidates from JEE Main and JEE Advanced are eligible for admission into 107 participating institutes. More than 40,000 undergraduate engineering (B.Tech/BE) positions will be opened for qualified candidates. The article will help aspiring engineers to learn more about JoSAA 2021.
