
The Ministry of Education published a list of 44 teachers selected for this year’s National Teacher Awards on Wednesday. President Ram Nath Kovind will present this award to 44 deserving teachers on Teacher’s Day,September 5.
Among the selected teachers, two are from Maharashtra, Telangana, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Gujarat, Bihar, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Nine of this year’s winners are women.

Among the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools, there are two teachers from the Bal Bharati Public School in Delhi Dwarka and Birla Balika Vidyapeeth from Rajasthan, Jhunjhunu. Also listed teacher from the Eklavya Model Residential School, Karpawand, Bastar, Chhattisgarh.

The purpose of the National Teacher Awards is to celebrate the unique contribution of some of the best teachers in the nation and to honor those teachers who through their commitment and industry have not only improved the quality of school education but have also enriched the life of the students. Teachers were asked to nominate themselves between June 1 and July 10, and the jury selected the winners through VC or physical interaction on August 10.Teachers are selected by the state selection committee / central awards committee.
